While I did not receive enough votes to be elected (9th place), I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported me throughout this campaign — those who volunteered, shared messages, walked with me, and opened their doors for a conversation.
Your encouragement, your trust, and your belief in a better Red Deer have meant the world to me.
Congratulations to Cindy Jefferies for Mayor - Red Deer on being elected Mayor, and to all the councillors elected tonight.
You’ve been given an incredible responsibility, and I wish you all the best as you lead our city forward.
To my fellow candidates who were not elected this time — thank you for putting your name forward. It takes courage, commitment, and a deep love for this community to step into the arena. Stay engaged, keep sharing your voice, and consider running again in 2029 — our city needs passionate people like you.
Most of all, thank you to my beautiful wife, Erin, and our children, who helped and supported me beyond measure in all those unseen ways.
And finally, thank you again to everyone who believed in me, encouraged me, and stood beside me along the way.
Though I am disheartened about the results and though this chapter closes tonight, my commitment to Red Deer remains as strong as ever.

For more than ten years, I’ve worked to connect Red Deer residents with what’s really going on at City Hall.
I’ve served on local boards, helped shape policy, and spoken up for accountability. My focus has always been on making information accessible and ensuring the public has a voice.

My wife Erin and I have called Red Deer home since 2010, raising our five kids and building a life centred on family and hard work.
I strive to lead by example — both at home and on the job — showing my children the importance of integrity, responsibility, and service.
I’ve worked in the trades for 18 years, and I own CGJ Tile, a local tile-setting company known for quality craftsmanship and reliable service.

I believe a strong city starts with strong communities — where people feel safe, supported, and proud of where they live. That means strengthening community policing, listening to local concerns, and preserving the identity of Red Deer’s established neighborhoods. As part of that commitment, I will firmly oppose blanket rezonings that ignore the voices of residents and threaten the character of our communities.
I believe a strong city starts with getting the basics right. That means putting first things first: ensuring emergency services are fully staffed, our roads are safe and well-maintained, and we have the police resources needed to serve and protect every corner of Red Deer. These are the essentials people rely on every day — and they deserve to come first in both budgeting and decision-making.

When budgets grow and results shrink, something’s wrong. I will push for stronger oversight, clearer reporting, and accountability that actually means something — because taxpayers deserve respect. Spending millions on a walking bridge while core services go underfunded isn’t just frustrating — it’s unacceptable. I’ll speak up when spending is out of step with community needs and work to make sure City Council’s decisions reflect real priorities, not pet projects.
The City has tried to improve communication — but too often, it feels outdated, clunky, or hard to navigate. Residents who want answers shouldn’t have to search through layers of red tape or confusing websites. I will advocate for modern tools that make it easier to ask questions, get updates, and understand what’s happening — instantly, clearly, and without adding costs or extra staff time. If you want to be in the know, it should be simple. That’s the kind of transparency Red Deer deserves.

Building what lasts means making decisions that still make sense decades from now. I believe in more than quick fixes — I’m committed to building a Red Deer that works for the next generation. Whether it’s affordable housing, responsible development, or sustainable infrastructure, I’m focused on planning ahead and making choices our community won’t regret later.
